Most intense moment ever.

Me and Clarky just experienced a moment that I never thought ever even existed outside of movies. We were playing red alert 3 allied campaign on hard difficulty co-operative. We had reached the last mission and had a quite a few tries and failed pretty hard. Then as we reluctantly tried for the 6th or 7th time we started rolling really fast. Base after base fell to our well commanded armies, but we weren’t going fast enough. The mission has a 20 minute time limit as you need to stop this guy:

As the mission continued and we destroyed all of the outer bases we headed in to destroy Tim Curry. I had built a chronosphere (a structure that lets me teleport units across the battlefield but only once ever 3:00 minutes or so) So I built it and it started to charge. Meanwhile Clarky was throwing is whole air force at the space shuttle trying to destroy it but it almost seemed invincible with only one minute left, the building was down to half health Clarky continued bombing it while I was stuck unable to cross the water (I had focused on land units) With 30 seconds the spare and the building still on maybe one quarter health all hoped seemed lost. By the time my chronosphere had finished charging there would only be ten seconds before shuttle launch. The time counted down:

Chronosphere ready, I highlighted the veteran units I had destroyed the last base with and quickly teleported them right next to the shuttle. And quickly ordered the attack while clarky was carpet bombing the whole structure, 5, 4, 3, 2…

‘We’re not gonna make it’ I yelled over the microphone 1… Boom! The shuttle went up in a big explosion the timer read:

Time until shuttle launch: 0:00

Did we do it… Yes! The allied commander came up to tell us what a good job we had done me and Clarky were both like:

My heart was pounding but we did it… Holy shit it was intense.

A message from my Physics Lecturer Ross XD

Hi everyone,

For those riveted by the ongoing saga, the builders have finally finished the work on my flat.  While it was a bit off-putting coming home today to find one of them wearing my dressing gown and holding my degree certificates and the other nude on my couch pretending to be seduced by the fake me, I was okay with it once they explained that they don’t get paid unless they stay on the job until five o’clock and they had to fill in the time somehow.  The work is fine, but unfortunately I had them paint my bathroom white and, coupled with the mirror and the 100 W light bulb, it is now too bright to go in there.  I guess I’ll have to keep doing what I did all this week: going the half mile to Sainsbury’s to use the bathroom and brush my teeth and scrubbing myself clean every morning in the ditch near my house.

Which is a long way of saying that I’ve added the final class test to My Aberdeen.  I meant to tell you at the tutorial today and forgot, sorry.

Mass dEffect

… 8 Hours in and I’ve already lost two of my party members… I’m sorry it had to come to this… While on the planet Virmire investigating Saurens research facility I had quickly stumbled between a rock and a hard place. Wrex a krogan who had been my loyal wingman for many a tough mission was quick to turn his back on me when he realised the cure for the genetic disease that was killing his race was in the facility I had to destroy. Thankfully Ash had my back and shot him quickly before he could pull the trigger. While quite angry at Ash at first I realised that it was something that was going to happen one time or another… he was just to focused on fighting.

I had to split my team in order to help out some of the spies that had been discovered in the facility, so I sent Ash with them thinking she could hold them off.

Little did I know that I would be forced to make a decision I did not want to make. While going to assist Ash’s group who now had suffered heavy casualties, a drop ship dropped off troops right where another crew member kaidan was setting up a bomb to destroy the faculty. Knowing I had to make a choice that would sure end one of my crews life I went back to save Kaiden and to make sure these deployed troops did not disarm the bomb. Ash… Ash didn’t make it…
